Real Madrid ‘collide’ with Kylian Mbappé’s mother over contract terms

La Liga giants Real Madrid have seen their ongoing efforts to bring in Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain hit something of a speedbump.

That’s according to Marca, who have this afternoon provided a fresh insight into the situation.

It is of course football’s worst kept secret that the Real brass, and frontman Mbappé, are locked in negotiations over the terms of a summer free transfer.

Two years on from seeing their advances rejected at the last, Florentino Pérez and co. have returned to the table, on this occasion dead set on pushing an agreement over the line.

Whilst it was previously suggested that as much would be relatively straightforward to come by, though, this has in fact since proven to be far from the case.

To this point, no deal has been struck, with widespread speculation pointing towards as much being some way off.

And, as alluded to above, on Sunday, Marca have provided an insight into precisely why.

Mbappé’s mother-agent, Fayza Lamari, it is claimed, has made crystal clear her intention to ‘impose her conditions’ on the Real Madrid brass.

This comes despite the Frenchman himself being ready to ‘give in’ to the terms on offer at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Lamari is labelled as an ‘implacable woman’, who is proving herself a ‘tough nut to crack’ in the ongoing discussions between the parties.

Marca, in turn, conclude that considerable distance remains between the demands of Mbappé’s camp, and the contract proposal on the table in Spain’s capital.
