Rayo Vallecano star Pep Chavarría on Wednesday took a major step in the right direction, amid his ongoing efforts to recover from injury.
Defender Chavarría, for his part, was forced to sit out each of Rayo’s last two La Liga outings.
As much came owing to a muscular injury suffered whilst lining out against Girona late last month.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, though, this morning, the 26-year-old was for the first time spotted back out on the grass in Vallecas.
Chavarría was put through an individualised training session, away from the rest of Iñigo Pérez’s squad.
The hope, though, is that the left-back will have recovered sufficient fitness to play his part in Rayo Vallecano’s post-international break return to action.
The capital outfit are scheduled to make the trip to Son Moix for a La Liga meeting with RCD Mallorca on Sunday, October 20th.
