PSG interested in Zinédine Zidane and Julian Nagelsmann

RMC Sport are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain could turn to Zinédine Zidane or Julian Nagelsmann, should they decide to replace current manager Christophe Galtier.

It is no secret that PSG are looking for Galtier’s successor. L’Équipe reported on Monday that the former Lille OSC and OGC Nice manager has two games to save his job. However, even if he does survive his stay of execution, he will likely depart in the summer. That departure is reliant upon Les Parisiens finding the right replacement, and PSG have already begun the search.

Following PSG’s Champions League exit against Bayern Munich, and in light of back-to-back Ligue 1 losses against Stade Rennais and Olympique Lyonnais, the club’s hierarchy are convinced that there is a need for change. Few names are finding a unanimous response amongst the PSG hierarchy, but the club are united over Zidane. However, any deal will be complicated, and despite being PSG’s priority last summer, he didn’t take the role on the sidelines at the Parc des Princes.

Nagelsmann, who is fresh out of his job at Bayern Munich is also a name that is frequently mentioned, however, there are doubts about his capacity to manage PSG’s dressing room. Les Parisiens could also face stiff competition from Chelsea for the German manager’s signature.

Antonio Conté, José Mourinho and Luis Henrique are also being mentioned in discussions, but none would arrive at PSG before the end of the season.
