Newly promoted side Leeds United are set to sign Lukas Nmecha from Wolfsburg after his contract wasn’t extended.
Leeds United are on the verge of securing Lukas Nmecha’s services for the upcoming Premier League campaign. The striker’s contract at Wolfsburg was not extended, meaning that Leeds won’t need to pay any transfer fee for him.
Nmecha has already spent some time in England: both Lukas and his brother Felix, who currently plays for Dortmund, came through Manchester City’s academy. Lukas has already played for Man City, Middlesbrough and Preston North End.
In the 2024/25 season, Nmecha only made 20 appearances for Wolfsburg, scoring 3 goals in the process. His exit was to be expected, since he wasn’t able to cement himself in the starting XI for Wolfsburg.
