HSV have shown an upturn in form in recent weeks and coach Merlin Polzin had more positive news this afternoon as three players returned from injury layoffs.
“Jordan Torunarigha and Yussuf Poulsen have trained fully and are therefore available,” Polzin said during his press conference.
“Daniel Elfadli worked hard in the weight room today and was monitored for his workload. He will definitely be there on Sunday,” he added.
It goes without saying that two of his squad will not be available for their home game against Mainz this Sunday afternoon.
“Fabio Vieira can’t participate due to a red card suspension, and Warmed Omari is unfortunately out for an extended period.
“However, he [Omari] was very pleased with the positive feedback and wanted to proactively send a message [via Instagram],” he said.
