Alassane Pléa is understood to be on the verge of extending his contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The French forward has been linked with a move to Nice, but will not be joining the Ligue 1 club this summer, according to Nice-Matin.
Instead, 29-year-old Pléa is set to stay and sign a new deal with Gladbach, per the French daily.
Pléa is one of several Gladbach players out of contract in 2023 that ‘Die Fohlen’ are keen to extend with.
The likes of Marcus Thuram, Ramy Bensebaini, Jonas Hofmann, Yann Sommer and Lars Stindl also have one year left on their deal.
