The Champions League

PLAYER RATINGS I Inter 0-1 Juventus

Juventus captured their sixth win in their last seven Serie A games as they beat Inter 1-0 away at San Siro and now they’re just seven points away from a Champions League spot.

It was Filip Kostic who scored the match winning goal for Massimiliano Allegri’s side as the Serbian fired it past André Onana in the 23rd minute with a diagonal grounded shot into the far bottom corner.

Inter complained a lot as they believed both Adrien Rabiot and Dusan Vlahovic touched the ball with the arm during the build-up but after a long check, VAR could not establish if any of the two players touched the ball either with the arm or the hand, so the referee’s decision stood.

For Simone Inzaghi’s side this is the second loss in a row in Serie A, the third in the last four league games. They’ve slipped in third place just three points clear over the fifth place.

As for Juventus, this was their first win away against Inter since 2019 and their fourth straight win across all competitions.

The only matter of concern is Federico Chiesa’s health: the striker was forced off few minutes after being subbed in for a knee problem that needs to be revaluated.
