Aleksandar Pavlovic has revealed that he plans to have surgery to remove his tonsils while he’s on vacation.
Bayern Munich prodigy Aleksandar Pavlovic finally made his debut for Germany in Monday’s 0-0 friendly draw with Ukraine.
The 20-year-old was actually due to make his first appearance for Germany in March when he was first called up, but was forced to withdraw from the squad due to tonsilitis.
In order to avoid a similar situation in the future, Pavlovic is considering having his tonsils removed during his summer vacation.
“I will probably have to sacrifice my vacation to get it done,” Pavlovic told German media in Germany’s training camp.
“This is more important now. I don’t want to get sick again and be out for 2-3 weeks. I’m concentrating on the Euros right now. I hope I’ll be in the final squad.”
After calling up 27 players to his preliminary squad, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann will have to narrow down his final Euro 2024 squad by one player on Friday.
