A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has already begun talking up the talents of the incoming Wojciech Szczęsny to the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.
The name of shot-stopper Szczęsny has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the week to date.
This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the Pole is all set to come out of retirement, to pen terms with Barcelona for the remainder of the season.
As much comes after Blaugrana no.1 Marc-André ter Stegen was ruled out for what is expected to be the remainder of the campaign with a serious knee injury.
Szczęsny, upon his arrival, will immediately boast one close friend in the dressing room at Montjuïc, the 34-year-old and fellow countryman Robert Lewandowski maintaining a long-time relationship.
And as much is already proving beneficial for Szczęsny when it comes to his reputation amongst his soon-to-be teammates, too.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘Lewandowski, from everything he has experienced with Szczesny and from knowing him beyond the field of play, has only said good things about the man he considers to be an impeccable professional. And a TOP and proven goalkeeper.’
