OGC Nice have been blighted by injuries at the start of the season. Terem Moffi will miss the majority of the campaign having suffered an ACL injury in pre-season; Morgan Sanson also suffered an injury in pre-season and is yet to return; Gaëtan Laborde is out for several months with a fractured metatarsal; Hicham Boudaoui is out until the international break, at the earliest as well.
One positive was that Jérémie Boga, also injured during pre-season, had returned and was growing into the season. However, that momentum has now been lost. During Wednesday morning’s training session, the Ivory Coast winger suffered an injury to his lower tibia, an injury that required stitches.
There is no doubt that Boga is out of the match against AS Saint-Étienne, but he could yet miss more matches, according to L’Équipe. He could even be out until the other side of the next international break, just like Boudaoui.
