Wolfsburg have announced the signing of Lovro Majer, who joins from Rennes.
VfL Wolfsburg have announced the capture of Croatia international Lovro Majer from Rennes.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has put pen to paper on a contract until 2028 with ‘Die Wölfe.
“It’s no secret that Lovro has been high on our list for a while now,” commented VfL Wolfsburg sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz.
“He is a creative, technically very gifted player who has proved his worth over the past two years in France. He also has plenty of experience on the European stage, having played in the Europa League with Rennes and the Champions League with Dinamo Zagreb, which makes us all the more pleased to have worked out a deal to bring him here to Wolfsburg.
“Lovro will now give us even more options in midfield – he can operate in the centre but is also a good player to have on the flanks.”
Majer featured 79 times for Rennes, racking up nine goals and 16 assists.
