FC Lorient goalkeeper Vito Mannone (35) has officially signed for Lille on a two-year deal from FC Lorient, joining his third French club. Lille social channels announced today that the Italian shot-stopper joins Les Dogues on a deal which runs until 2025.
Last season, the 35-year-old deputised for number 1 Yann Mvogo, but managed to feature in 20 Ligue 1 matches whilst the Swiss international was injured. During this time Mannone conceded 26 goals and kept five clean sheets.
Le LOSC annonce aujourd’hui le recrutement de Vito Mannone (35 ans) en provenance du FC Lorient. Il s’est engagé pour une durée de 2 saisons, soit jusqu’en 2025.

He becomes the seventh summer recruit for Lille, filling the void left by former Auxerre and Bordeaux keeper Benoît Costil. Mannone is a former Arsenal and Sunderland man himself, having trained alongside the likes of Wojciech Szczęsny, Lucas Fabianski, and Manuel Almunia in his six-year stint in North London. With the Black Cats Mannone featured in 80 matches in all competitions before joining MLS side Minnesota United in 2019.
