Official: Barcelona announce first-team departure

La Liga champions Barcelona have early this week made official the departure of a member of the club’s first-team ranks.

The player in question? Pablo Torre.

Midfielder Torre has of course seen his name emerge as an altogether prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over recent days.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the 22-year-old was on the verge of a Camp Nou exit.

After struggling for game-time under the watch of new Barcelona manager Hansi Flick this past season, Torre agreed to the terms of a move to fellow La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca.

And as alluded to above, an accord has since been found with the Blaugrana, too.

As per a statement released across Barca’s website and social media platforms:

‘FC Barcelona and RCD Mallorca have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Pablo Torre. The blaugranes retain a buy back option and percentage of any future sale of the midfielder.

‘The Club wishes him all the best for the future on and off the field.’
