‘Not normal’ – Bayern Munich star hails Jude Bellingham ahead of Real Madrid tie

A headline member of the attacking ranks at Bayern Munich has this week revealed his admiration for Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham.

As much, of course, comes ahead of the impending showdown between the two European heavyweights.

After navigating their way beyond Arsenal and Manchester City respectively, Bayern and Real are primed to lock horns in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The tie is set to kick into gear next Tuesday, in a meeting at the Allianz Arena.

Speaking during an interview with Sport Bild (as cited by Diario AS) this week, it therefore came as little surprise when Bayern starlet Jamal Musiala was drawn on a whole host of topics relating to the matchup.

“I’m looking forward to the match against Real Madrid at the legendary Bernabéu,” Musiala began. “Two of the best teams in Europe will face each other, they are important games.”

From here, attentions turned towards one specific member of Carlo Ancelotti’s ranks, in the form of Jude Bellingham.

Musiala and Bellingham maintain a close friendship, having spent time developing alongside one another at youth level with the English national team.

And, drawn on the spectacular start to life being enjoyed by his former teammate in Spain, Musiala went on to admit that he hasn’t been ‘too surprised’, having experienced first-hand Bellingham’s elite ‘mentality’:

“Of course, his start at Real Madrid has not been normal. A player usually has to adapt when he signs for a team from another country. But I wasn’t too surprised that things were different with Jude, because I know his mentality.”
