Napoli officials have met with the agent of talented Benfica winger David Neres.
The Brazilian burst onto the scene in a successful Champions League campaign with Ajax a few years ago and he could be on his way to the south of Italy if talks go as planned.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna met with Bertolucci, the Brazilian’s agent, and moved forward on negotiations regarding the player’s contract. However nothing has been agreed between both clubs and Benfica won’t settle for less than a fee of €25 million.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported today personal terms have been agreed between the player and Napoli and the only thing missing is the agreement between the two clubs. The player is very keen on coming to Italy to become a regular.
Could Neres be the next piece in the puzzle that is Antonio Conte’s Napoli rebuild?
