Without captain Denis Zakaria, Adi Hutter may make a formation change as AS Monaco look to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to OGC Nice.
The Swiss international was injured in the warm-up on Sunday and Hutter confirmed that he will likely miss Angers’ visit to the Stade Louis II. Without him, Hutter could make a switch to a back three, which could see Christian Mawissa start, with Mohammed Salisu also out.
There could be a rare start for Krépin Diatta at wing-back with Vanderson and Jordan Teze both suspended. Up front, it will likely be the in-form Breel Embolo who leads the line. Folarin Balogun, who recently returned to first-team training, remains sidelined. He looks unlikely to feature before the international break.
Monaco likely line-up v Angers
Radoslaw Majecki; Christian Mawissa, Thilo Kehrer, Wilfried Singo; Caio Henrique, Lamine Camara, Aleksandr Golovin, Krépin Diatta; Eliesse Ben Seghir, Maghnes Akliouche; Breel Embolo.
