Milan striker Olivier Giroud is currently in advanced talks to leave the Serie A side in the summer and join Major League Soccer side LAFC.
The Frenchman has been linked with the MLS outfit in recent weeks and Daniele Longo has provided an update about the situation. The Rossoneri are awaiting a communication from Giroud regarding his future as it hasn’t arrived yet, but their expectation is that the communication will arrive soon.
Giroud is very tempted by heading to the USA and talks between his entourage and the MLS side have been taking place for a while. In fact, talks are at an advanced stage and are heading in the right direction. An exit in the summer is a very likely scenario and Milan preparing for it already, even though even LAFC haven’t informed them of the move.
The Rossoneri’s original plan was to hand Giroud a new deal and sign another striker. But his exit could change plans and could lead to Luka Jovic extending his stay at the club.
