Milan keeping tabs on Chelsea’s Benoit Badiashile

Serie A outfits Milan are working to sign Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile on a loan transfer in January.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport via Milannews.it, Milan have been forced to scout the market for a new central defender after injuries to Pierre Kalulu and Marco Pellegrino. Simon Kjaer’s recurring physical problems are another reason why the club’s sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio has turned to the Premier League for reliable defenders.

The Rossoneri are aiming to negotiate with Chelsea to sign Benoit Badiashile on a loan for the rest of the season during the winter transfer window. The Blues are not sure of opening up to the imminent proposal but if the Italian side play their cards right, they would be able to sign an additional defender without digging into their budget.

Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior is also on the list if things don’t go well with the Frenchman. The Polish is the likely option as he is considered surplus by the Gunners and Milan won’t have much problems to sign him.
