Milan will aim to be active in January and one of the players on their radar is Jonathan David, according to Sky Italia.
The Canadian is contracted with Lille until 2025 and his price has already started dropping. After a slow start to the season he is now valued at €40 million rather than the €60 million the was quoted in the summer.
Lille will be all too aware that they must cash in soon and that makes the deal viable for all parties. It will be easier to complete the transfer in the summer rather than in January, as Lille won’t want to go half a season without their main number nine. Regardless, the Rossoneri will still look to make attempts to sign the player in the January transfer window.
Milan have been in the market for a striker for some time now to no avail. Olivier Giroud is still performing at a very impressive level but they have to look to the future and towards youth.
David is 23 and has been showing excellent potential for the last four years. If anything, Milan will be pleased that he has had a slow start to the season as it makes his price easier to stomach.
