According to Kerry Hau, Mathys Tel (17) is set to sign for Bayern Munich after completing his medical tests in Munich on Monday.
The Rennes striker is one step closer to completing his move to Bayern after reports that the French side were ready to accept Bayern’s €30m offer.
This is the third offer that the German champions have made for Tel with the previous two being rejected due to the total transfer sum.
Video footage showed Tel arriving at Bayern’s training facility before leaving a few hours later. It’s understood that the forward has passed his medical and will meet up with his new teammates tomorrow for training.
Tel made only 10 appearances for Rennes last season, but his appearances for the club, as well as his five goals in six appearances for the France U18 side have caught the attention of the German champions.
It’s reported that Tel will sign a five-year contract until 2027 with Bayern.
