Marseille close to reaching agreement with Milan over Adrien Rabiot

Marseille and Milan are close to reaching an agreement over the transfer of out-of-favour France midfielder Adrien Rabiot (30), according to reports from Foot Mercato and RMC Sport. Rabiot is therefore set to reunite with Massimiliano Allegri, who coached the former PSG Academy product during their time together at Juventus. Rabiot spent five years with the Bianconeri, between 2019 and 2024. Despite an excellent debut season in Marseille, Rabiot was shown the door following a dressing room brawl with Jonathan Rowe in the aftermath of the opening day’s away defeat to Rennes.

Rabiot and Rowe were officially transfer-listed days after the Roazhon Park altercation. Rowe was subsequently sold to Bologna. Roberto De Zerbi seemed to open the door for Rabiot’s reintegration before reneging on his word. The France international now looks on his way out as Milan have made concrete steps to sign him.

RMC Sport reports that Milan and Marseille are nearing a compromise around a €10m transfer fee. Rabiot has reportedly already agreed on personal terms with the Rossoneri. Sould his move to Lombardy is confirmed, Rabiot will link up with fellow France international Christopher Nkunku. He could make his Milan debut against… Jonathan Rowe’s Bologna.
