Manchester United are set to announce the signing of Enzo Kana-Biyik on a free transfer.
The Red Devils have been very active this summer, as they have already wrapped up a move for Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Ruben Amorim’s side are pursuing a transfer for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, with the winger reportedly keen on a switch to Old Trafford.
They are also seeking a new striker and have been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres.
Besides targeting ready-made stars, United are also planning for the future by bringing in younger players with high potential.
According to Manchester Evening News, they are set to complete Kana-Biyik’s move and are only waiting on a few regulatory steps before announcing the transfer.
The 18-year-old’s contract with Le Havre will run out this summer, and Man Utd will sign him as a free agent.
He is set to follow in the footsteps of Paul Pogba, who also arrived in Manchester as a teenager from the Ligue 1 side.
Kana-Biyik scored nine goals in 16 games last season for the French club’s Under-19s.
He also trained with the first-team but couldn’t make his competitive debut.
Previous reports suggested the centre-forward would be loaned to INEOS-owned FC Lausanne-Sport, but it appears no final decision has been made yet.
This means he could stay at United next season and compete for minutes in the under-21s.
