Manchester United will be in the market for a left-back in the coming months as they look to bring in players capable of playing in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system.
As reported by Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, recruiting a left-back is the Portuguese manager’s biggest priority in the short term, with his current options in this sector limited. Plettenberg understands that the Red Devils have two major targets.
The priority is Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies (24), whose contract with the Bundesliga side will expire at the end of the season, however, Plettenberg understands that this deal may be difficult to pull off, even despite the Canada international’s contract situation. Real Madrid have been strongly linked with a move for the defender.
Theo Hernández (27) is the other name on Manchester United’s list, as per Plettenberg. The France international was highly coveted last summer and AC Milan may have to once again fend off interest in the coming months. Hernández’s contract with the Serie A side expires in 2026.
