Manchester United are all set to finalize the contract extension of Alejandro Garnacho.
According to a report from the Spanish publication AS, the Red Devils are on the verge of agreeing on a new deal with the 18-year-old. Apparently, the agreement is practically complete and the two parties have decided on the wages and the duration of the contract. The distribution of image rights should be sorted in the coming days as well.
Garnacho is one of the most talented young players at Manchester United and he has been quite impressive during his cameos this season. He has three goals and six assists to his name this season.
The Argentine winger is a prodigious talent with a bright future ahead of him. He has all the tools to develop into a key player for the Red Devils. Keeping him at the club was always a priority for Manchester United and the fans will be delighted with the development.
The Red Devils are in need of quality players in the wide areas and Garnacho could make the left-wing berth his own for the foreseeable future. He is already a first-team regular for Manchester United and the player will hope to establish himself as a regular starter for Erik ten Hag now.
The player was being linked with a move away from England with Barcelona keeping tabs on the winger.
There was no way Manchester United would have sanctioned the departure of their prized prospect anytime soon. It will be interesting to see if Garnacho can now focus on his development, having sorted his long-term future at the club.
