Manchester City have an advantage in signing Florian Wirtz this summer, according to Christian Falk.
Bayern Munich remain optimistic that they can be the club to sign the Bayer Leverkusen wonder talent, but they won’t go in for a deal until the summer of 2026. Meanwhile, B04 is expected to extend Wirtz’s contract until after the World Cup next summer.
However, thanks to an agent, Man City currently has an advantage over other clubs and will try to sign the attacking midfielder this summer.
The agent in question is Giovanni Branchini. The agent has worked with Bayern in the past but is now involved in trying to convince Wirtz to sign for City in the summer.
Inside Germany, Wirtz is happy at Leverkusen and enjoys playing under Xabi Alonso. As things stand, a move within the Bundesliga this summer is unlikely; only a move to a club like Man City is on the cards, with the club set to apply the pressure in the coming months.
