Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has to “seriously consider” leaving Old Trafford, says journalist Dean Jones.
The 25-year-old has not made a single start for the Red Devils this season, though he has been out injured for over a month.

How was Van de Beek faring before his injury?
Before his muscle problem, Van de Beek was being overlooked by manager Erik ten Hag, so his absence has not changed much.
He made just three appearances, coming on in games against Brighton, Brentford and rivals Liverpool.
It has been the story of Van de Beek’s United career so far, with the Dutchman failing to win a starting spot at Old Trafford since his arrival.
In total, Van de Beek, who was signed for an initial £35m fee from Ajax over two years ago (via BBC Sport), has made just four starts for the Manchester club.

What has Jones said about Van de Beek?
Jones says it is now time for Van de Beek, whom he has described as a “really good footballer”, to leave Old Trafford.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer insider said: “I think he has to seriously consider leaving. The move hasn’t gone well at all. He’s a really good footballer; I think he’ll be really disappointed that this is the choice that he made because he could have gone elsewhere.”

Will Van de Beek get game time at United once he is fully fit again?
It seems unlikely. Even when he was available, Ten Hag still preferred the likes of Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay over him when picking his team.
Van de Beek and Ten Hag previously worked with each other at Ajax, but that has done nothing for the Netherlands international at Old Trafford.
The United manager has done him no favours and there is nothing to suggest that that is going to change. Simply put, Van de Beek looks glued to the bench at his current club.
Taking all of the above into account, as Jones said, it would probably be wise for the former Ajax man to consider leaving the Premier League outfit.
In terms of possible destinations, he spent the second half of last season out on loan at Everton and was heavily linked with a move to Crystal Palace before his switch to Goodison Park, so perhaps a transfer to another English club could be possible. It is clear that he does have admirers in the country.
