Manchester United are showing ‘concrete’ interest in a summer move for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao, journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed.
The Red Devils have reportedly made an enquiry regarding the Portuguese international’s potential availability and have identified him as a possible replacement for Alejandro Garnacho.
Ruben Amorim has told Garnacho he is free to leave Old Trafford this summer and United have begun their search for a successor, with Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo emerging as another option.
Leao, who joined AC Milan from Lille in 2019, has three years remaining on his contract at San Siro, which runs until June 2028.

Among European clubs interested in the 25-year-old
According to Galetti, Milan’s failure to qualify for European football next season has opened the door for Leao’s potential exit and put a host of clubs on alert.
Man United could face competition from Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Arsenal in the race for the 25-year-old winger, who was once praised as ‘one of the best dribblers in the world’.
Milan are unlikely to entertain offers below €100m (£84m) for the Portuguese winger and would like to keep him next season, but there is a growing sense that Leao could be offloaded to fund a squad rebuild this summer.
Man United are anticipating a busy start to their first summer under Amorim and are close to announcing Matheus Cunha as their first signing.
The Brazilian forward has agreed to a five-year deal with the Red Devils, who are expected to pay his £62.5m release clause to Wolves in installments.
