La Liga giants Real Madrid’s hopes of getting the better of Manchester City in the upcoming Champions League tie between the clubs may have this evening been afforded a boost.
This comes after a headline member of City’s defensive ranks picked up a suspected injury.
Afforded a starting berth in England’s friendly meeting with Brazil, Kyle Walker lasted just 20 minutes, before being forced to limp out of proceedings.
Clutching his hamstring as he made his way from the field of play, all associated with Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues now face an anxious wait for an update on the wellbeing of the club’s first-choice right-back.
Upon the international break coming to a close, Man City will first turn their attentions back towards the club’s ongoing efforts to retain the Premier League title.
From here, though, it will be all hands to the pump in Europe, with the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final showdown between the Citizens and Real Madrid pencilled in for the 9th of April.
