According to Jerôme Rothen, host of RMC Sport show Rothen S’enflamme, Fabio Grosso’s job as manager at Olympique Lyonnais is already under threat.
Grosso took over from Laurent Blanc as Lyon manager in mid-September. However, the former OL player has not presided over a new manager bounce. The Italian has lost three of his four games in charge. Lyon are therefore still winless and after their latest defeat against Clermont Foot, bottom of Ligue 1. Grosso himself has said that the club are fighting for their top-flight status, however, speaking after Sunday’s defeat, owner John Textor, who said he regretted not sacking previous manager Blanc earlier, claimed that talk of a potential relegation is “nonsense.”
Rothen reports that Grosso’s job is already under threat. He reports that the Lyon manager is already losing the dressing room, with certain players stating that Grosso is the worst manager they’ve had. Rothen also reports that the dressing room has been alienated.
