According to Foot Mercato, Luton Town are in advanced talks to sign Willem Geubbels (23) on loan from St Gallen in the winter transfer window. The former Monaco forward is contracted to the Swiss club until June 2027 but could be on the move with interest in his services.
Geubbels joined the Swiss Super League club from Monaco in January 2023 on a free transfer. The Villeurbane-born striker has featured regularly for St Gallen since he arrived in Switzerland, making 74 appearances for the club. The 23-year-old has scored 6 goals in 13 Super League appearances this term.
Norwich and West Brom also interested
Luton are set to face competition to sign the Frenchman. Although focusing on a move in the summer, Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion are also interested in the services of the former Nantes loanee. The Hatters will be hoping to steal a march on their fellow EFL Championship sides by completing a deal to sign Geubbels in the winter window.
