L’Équipe understand that Paris Saint-Germain and Luís Campos are in talks over a contract extension, however, they are not guaranteed to be successful.
Luis Enrique signed a contract extension, until the summer of 2027, two weeks ago. However, PSG are yet to officialise the new deal. L’Équipe understands that the club are looking to also extend Campos’ deal, which expires at the end of the season, before announcing both extensions simultaneously.
However, whilst talks have been ongoing with Campos for several weeks, there is no certainty that those talks will give rise to an agreement. The two parties have not entirely agreed whether the collaboration should in fact continue beyond the end of the campaign, whilst neither party is in a hurry to conclude an agreement.
Campos himself has certain terms that the club may have to agree to, for example, bringing in some people close to him, notably in the communication department. The Portuguese sporting director must also make a decision himself and “some personal problems” may play a part, as per L’Équipe.
