Liverpool have turned down an opening bid from RB Leipzig for Fabio Carvalho, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Per the Italian transfer market insider, the Reds don’t want to let the 20-year-old midfielder leave on a permanent basis.
However, the clubs will discuss whether Liverpool could accept the transfer if a buy-back option is included in the deal.
Carvalho has made 21 appearances for Liverpool’s first team, scoring three times.
The Portugal U21 international’s contract with the Merseyside club expires in 2027.
