Liverpool star has made Arne Slot ‘very happy’

Liverpool have started the new season in fine form under the leadership of manager Arne Slot.

The Reds have managed to win four out of their five games in the Premier League, while also winning the Champions League match against AC Milan in a convincing manner.

Most of the players have been performing well under Slot, with fans and the manager particularly pleased with one of the players.

The Reds wanted to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi this summer but the Spaniard rejected a move to Anfield in the last minute, dealing a major blow to the Reds and their transfer plans.

However, midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has made the defensive midfield position his own and has performed exceptionally well for the Merseyside club, exceeding expectations.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Liverpool and Slot are very happy with how the Dutchman has played so far this season.

While speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Romano praised Gravenberch and mentioned how well he has performed.

“Zubimendi clearly rejected Liverpool in the summer, but the deal didn’t happen because the player wanted to continue there. We will see what happens, but that situation remains quiet and also Liverpool and Arne Slot are very happy with Ryan Gravenberch, he is doing fantastic, he’s almost Man of the Match in every game, so for Liverpool this is the best news possible.”

The Zubimendi transfer saga did not work in the favour of the Reds but they have coped with that situation well this season.

Arne Slot has revived the career of Gravenberch at Liverpool

Slot has managed to turnaround the career of Gravenberch at Anfield, who struggled for most part of last season under Jurgen Klopp.

He is now one of the first names on the team sheet and his performances have been praised by the fans and the media.

Rejecting Liverpool has not worked well for Zubimendi though, with the Spaniard struggling big time this season.

His Real Sociedad side are currently 16th in the league and flirting with relegation.
