Premier League leaders Liverpool are currently said to be lagging behind in the race for Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the Georgian in the last couple of days but Paris Saint-Germain are the side holding talks over the move.
La Gazzetta delo Sport today, via CN24, have reported about where Liverpool stand in the saga. The outlet claims that while Edon Zhegrova is on Napoli’s shortlist to replacement Kvaratskhelia, there are other names that are worth keeping an eye on as well.
Federico Chiesa’s name is back in fashion and he is seen as a potential opportunity and could be offered the chance to rebuild and relaunch his career away from Liverpool. Antonio Conte would also like him at the Partenopei.
Whether the Italian can be offered in the move remains to be seen, but the outlet are confident that Arne Slot’s side have made contact to ask for information for Kvaratskhelia. But as of now, they are lagging behind in the chase and have work to do to get ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.
