Liverpool will consider making a move for Man City’s Kalvin Phillips in January amid transfer rumours that the England star will leave the Premier League champions.
Things have not gone to plan for the 27-year-old since moving to the Etihad last summer from Leeds as the midfielder has seen very little football and is at the back of Pep Guardiola’s current pecking order.
Phillips started just four games across all competitions last season and played just 290 minutes – the equivalent of three full matches.
According to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern Munich are interested in the Man City star but no contact has been made at present.
The outlet states that Liverpool may be an option and that Juventus are also believed to be interested in the England star.
The Reds are still being linked to midfield players despite adding Alexis MacAllister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch to their squad this summer.
Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a fan of Phillips and it will be interesting to see if the Merseyside club makes a move for the player in January.
