Having taken a first-half lead after Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah combined inside the Bees’ final third, Liverpool were on course to secure their place in the table’s top four.
And with Aston Villa beating Fulham and applying the pressure, Liverpool fans will be breathing a sigh of relief after Salah doubled his tally.
