Leverkusen back Seoane after abysmal start

Gerardo Seoane has been relieved of his duties as Bayer Leverkusen coach following yesterday’s 2-0 defeat against FC Porto in the Champions League, according to Marca and Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.
Per the reports, Seoane will be replaced by Seoane, with Marca claiming that the former Spain international will commit himself to ‘Die Werkself’ until 2024.

After finishing third in the Bundesliga under Seoane last season, Leverkusen have had a disastrous start to the season and are 17th with five points after eight games.

They sit third in Champions League’s group B, having taken three points from three games in Europe.
