Leeds United‘s transfer plans ahead of the January window have been outlined, and they are set to make a move for two attackers, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The Whites are currently 15th in the Premier League, just two points clear of the relegation zone, and so manager Jesse Marsch may feel that some new reinforcements are in order to steer clear of another battle at the wrong end of the table.
What is the latest news involving Leeds?
A recent report from TyC Sports states that Marsch may swoop for a player plying his trade in his home country, as MLS forward Sebastian Driussi is believed to be on his radar.
Another option in attack is Noa Lang, who currently turns out for Club Brugge, with Jones recently indicating that Leeds will be in the race for the forward when the time comes, although they will face stiff competition from plenty of other potential suitors.
Jones has also highlighted Boulaye Dia as a potential option, particularly if he impresses with his national side, Senegal, in the World Cup, with Gazzetta dello Sport previously stating that Salernitana may choose to auction the striker when his loan deal from Villarreal becomes permanent in the summer.
What has Sheth said about Leeds?
Jones believes that Leeds will be active in the upcoming window, and thinks that Marsch will swoop for two different sorts of attackers in a bid to save his job, telling GIVEMESPORT: “I think he’ll sign two different sorts of attackers in the next window.
“Who these guys are could basically determine whether Marsch stays in the job there or not, so he’s got to get the right man.”
Who would be the best signing for Leeds?
While Driussi and Dia are undoubtedly good options, it would be a real statement signing for Marsch if he could pull off a deal to bring Lang to Elland Road.
Described as “unstoppable” by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, the 23-year-old has been in incredible form for Brugge over the past few seasons, bagging 19 goal contributions in 31 league appearances last term.
Twelve assists are included in that return, highlighting his ability to bring others into play, which could be beneficial for the already flourishing form of striker Rodrigo, who has nine goals in 13 Premier League appearances this season.
The Whites are set to face stiff competition for Lang’s signature, but they should throw everything at a deal for the Dutchman, in order to really strengthen the squad, and to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
