21:00 – Cadiz vs Granada

Cadiz Granada
Win Probability 45% 26%

There’s a bottom three showdown to kick the matchday off and there’s a setback for Cadiz with striker Maxi Gomez set to miss more than a month due to injury which is likely to lead to Chris Ramos partnering Juanmi in attack here.

Granada sacked Alexander Medina and appointed Jose Ramon Sandoval over the international break. Sandoval was the inspiration for a dramatic late Granada escape almost a decade ago but it’s almost mission impossible this time around. Some changes are likely as the new boss aims to stamp his mark on this team and he has almost a fully fit squad to pick from.

Possible Lineups

Cadiz: Ledesma – Javi Hernandez, Chust, Fali, Iza – Navarro, Alcaraz, Kouame, Sobrino – Ramos, Juanmi (4-4-2)

Granada: Batalla – Neva, Miquel, Bruno Mendez, Ricard – Sergio Ruiz, Gumbau – Uzuni, Villar, Pellistri – Boye (4-2-3-1)

14:00 – Getafe vs Sevilla

Getafe Sevilla
Win Probability 39% 31%

Getafe played 4-5-1 with midfielder Oscar Rodriguez up front against Girona last time out and the plan delivered a 1-0 win against the high flying Catalans. This is a more favourable fixture and Pepe Bordalas may opt to recall either Juanmi Latasa or Jaime Mata to the eleven up front with Jesus Santiago the player most likely to drop out if that happens, despite his goal a fortnight ago.

Sevilla have dealt with awful injury problems for much of the season but they could finally have a fully fit squad this weekend. Jesus Navas is suspended though so Juanlu will certainly start as the right wing back.

Possible Lineups

Getafe: Soria – Gaston, Alderete, Djene, Iglesias – Moriba, Milla, Maksimovic, Greenwood – Oscar Rodriguez, Latasa (4-4-2)

Sevilla: Nyland – Salas, Ramos, Bade – Ocampos, Soumare, Sow, Oliver, Juanlu – Romero, En-Nesyri (3-5-2)

16:15 – Almeria vs Osasuna

Almeria Osasuna
Win Probability 35% 35%

Almeria won their first game under Pepe Mel last time out and it was also their first win all season, so it’s hard to see many changes here with the Andalusian side finally finding the winning formula at long last.

Osasuna head into the game following the surprise announcement from boss Jagoba Arrasate that he plans to leave at the end of this season. He’ll have to cope without the suspended Lucas Torro for the long trip to the South of Spain.

Possible Lineups

Almeria: Maximiano – Centelles, Radovanovic, Montes, Pubill – Peña, Robertone – Embarba, Viera, Ramazani – Baptistao (4-2-3-1)

Osasuna: Herrera – Mojica, Herrando, David Garcia, Areso – Muñoz, Moncayola – Moi Gomez, Oroz, Peña – Budimir (4-2-3-1)

18:30 – Valencia vs Mallorca

Valencia Mallorca
Win Probability 46% 22%

Valencia are missing captain Jose Luis Gaya to injury which should either see Thierry Correia or Jesus Vazquez introduced into the side. Ruben Baraja must also decide whether to recall Hugo Guillamon in midfield after his suspension on the previous matchday, or stick with Javi Guerra, or perhaps even play both.

Mallorca are in Copa del Rey Final action next weekend and Javier Aguirre may be tempted to give cup keeper Dominik Greif 90 minutes as preparation for that. Otherwise Mallorca should go quite strong given they still have work to do to guarantee safety.

Possible Lineups

Valencia: Mamardashvili – Foulquier, Ozkacar, Mosquera, Correia – Fran Perez, Guillamon, Pepelu, Diego Lopez – Duro, Yaremchuk (4-4-2)

Mallorca: Greif – Copete, Nastasic, Railo – Lato, Darder, Mascarell, Antonio, Giovanni – Dani Rodriguez – Muriqi (3-5-1-1)

21:00 – Barcelona vs Las Palmas

Barcelona Las Palmas
Win Probability 77% 8%

Barcelona are firm favourites against Las Palmas and we may see some light changes from Xavi who could be tempted to give 16 year old Lamine Yamal a rest following an outstanding display from the teenager for Spain on Tuesday against Brazil. Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen have also been nursing injuries and may not be risked with bigger games on the horizon.

Las Palmas are only expected to be missing Julian Araujo who is injured and won’t play against his parent club. Light changes are possible though after a surprise home loss against Almeria extended their winless run.

Possible Lineups

Barcelona: Ter Stegen – Cancelo, Martinez, Cubarsi, Kounde – Gundogan, Roberto, Fermin – Felix, Lewandowski, Raphinha (4-3-3)

Las Palmas: Valles – Cardona, Marmol, Coco, Alex Suarez – Kirian, Perrone, Muñoz – Marvin Park, Sandro, Munir (4-3-3)

14:00 – Celta Vigo vs Rayo Vallecano

Celta Vigo Rayo Vallecano
Win Probability 47% 25%

Celta Vigo made a winning start under Claudio Giraldez with a 3-4-2-1 system doing the trick in Seville. He’ll be reluctant to change much here, although the Galicians do have a number of injury concerns.

Rayo also picked up their first win under new management last time out to defeat Betis and give lift-off to the Iñigo Perez reign. They have two big suspensions here though with Raul De Tomas and Florian Lejeune both absent while central defender Aridane Hernandez is an injury doubt.

Possible Lineups

Celta Vigo: Guaita – Dominguez, Nuñez, Mingueza – Alvarez, Beltran, Sotelo, Manquillo – Bamba, Aspas – Larsen (3-4-2-1)

Rayo Vallecano: Dimitrievski – Chavarria, Aridane, Mumin, Balliu – Unai Lopez, Valentin – De Frutos, Isi, Alvaro Garcia – Camello (4-2-3-1)

16:15 – Girona vs Real Betis

Girona Real Betis
Win Probability 56% 19%

Girona are missing winger Savio to suspension, but they should be able to field their best eleven with the exception of the young Brazilian.

They face a Betis side that’s expected to hand a first start to Isco since he picked up an injury nearly two months ago. How Manuel Pellegrini finds a place for him in the side is anyone’s guess with Nabil Fekir potentially playing as the number nine.

Possible Lineups

Girona: Gazzaniga – Blind, David Lopez, Eric Garcia – Miguel, Aleix Garcia, Ivan Martin, Couto – Portu, Dovbyk, Tsygankov (3-4-3)

Real Betis: Rui Silva – Miranda, Riad, Pezzella, Sabaly – Guido Rodriguez, Cardoso – Ayoze, Isco, Fornals – Fekir (4-2-3-1)

18:30 – Alaves vs Real Sociedad

Alaves Real Sociedad
Win Probability 28% 40%

Alaves are one of the most consistent teams in LaLiga in terms of their starting eleven and we shouldn’t expect any major surprises from Luis Garcia here with Aleksandar Sedlar their only absentee.

Real Sociedad have won back-to-back games to seemingly end their severe mid season wobble. They’ve been dealt a big injury blow though with Brais Mendez expected to miss the rest of the season. Key centre back Robin Le Normand is suspended.

Possible Lineups

Alaves: Sivera – Javi Lopez, Abqar, Marin, Gorosabel – Blanco, Guevara – Rioja, Guridi, Vicente – Omorodion (4-2-3-1)

Real Sociedad: Remiro – Galan, Pacheco, Zubeldia, Traore – Merino, Zubimendi, Zakharyan – Becker, Oyarzabal, Kubo (4-3-3)

21:00 – Real Madrid vs Athletic Club

Real Madrid Athletic Club
Win Probability 64% 15%

Real Madrid are missing Vinicius to suspension this weekend but they can at least welcome back Jude Bellingham. Joselu is likely to come into the side in attack alongside Rodrygo for Los Blancos.

Athletic are in a similar boat to Mallorca in that they could give cup keeper Julen Agirrezabala the start ahead of the Final in Seville. Ernesto Valverde may even be tempted to rest one or two of the players who featured during the international break such as Nico Williams who started at the Bernabeu on Tuesday for Spain.

Possible Lineups

Real Madrid: Lunin – Mendy, Nacho, Rudiger, Carvajal – Kroos, Tchouameni, Valverde – Bellingham – Joselu, Rodrygo (4-3-1-2)

Athletic Club: Agirrezabala – Yuri, Yeray, Vivian, De Marcos – Prados, Galarreta – Berenguer, Sancet, Iñaki Williams – Guruzeta (4-2-3-1)

21:00 – Villarreal vs Atletico Madrid

Villarreal Atletico Madrid
Win Probability 30% 44%

Villarreal have something of a full back crisis here with Alberto Moreno and Kiko Femenia suspended and Juan Foyth only just getting back to fitness and unlikely to start. The solution may be to play central defenders at full back but things are looking good in midfield and attack with the Yellow Submarine now targeting Europe after four straight wins.

Atletico Madrid travel to the Ceramica without the suspended Nahuel Molina and Rodrigo De Paul. Mario Hermoso is also missing through injury which should see Reinildo start on the left of the back three.

Possible Lineups

Villarreal: Jorgensen – Cuenca, Mandi, Albiol, Mosquera – Baena, Comesaña, Parejo, Bertrand Traore – Sorloth, Gerard Moreno (4-4-2)

Atletico Madrid: Oblak – Reinildo, Witsel, Savic – Lino, Barrios, Koke, Saul, Llorente – Morata, Griezmann (3-5-2)
