Olivier Giroud (37) is nearing a move to Los Angeles FC, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist is reporting that a verbal agreement has been reached between the France international and the MLS side.
With Giroud’s contract at AC Milan expiring at the end of the season, the Frenchman is permitted to discuss a pre-contract agreement with another club. He looks to be exercising that right. Giroud is seemingly in high demand, with multiple offers being received.

It had been reported that the Frenchman had been wanting to take his time in making a decision on his future, but all signs now point towards the USA. Despite LAFC’s bid reportedly being lower than rival offers, Giroud looks set to join the MLS side, with former international teammate Hugo Lloris pushing for Giroud’s arrival.
Romano reports that an initial agreement between Giroud and LAFC is now in place, and whilst nothing is yet signed, a deal is close.
