Kroos “wouldn’t compare” Musiala and Wirtz to Bellingham

Germany and Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has avoided comparing Jude Bellingham to Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz.

Toni Kroos doesn’t think it makes sense to compare his Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham to Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, who he plays with in the German national team.

Although all three are exceptional young talents, Kroos points out that Bellingham is a very different player to his two Germany teammates.

“I wouldn’t compare either of them to Jude. They’re different players, they’re difficult for opponents to tackle and they don’t have the same physicality as Jude,” Kroos said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“I think there are very few limits for both of them. They need to stay healthy, they need to keep the desire to win and stay consistent to play at the top.

“They will both have problems from time to time, but in terms of their attitude, they are well equipped to play anywhere.”

Kroos was also asked about the reported training ground brawl between Niclas Füllkrug and Antonio Rüdiger on Monday, and insisted the incident had been blown out of proportion.

“I have to take the wind out of their sails first. It wasn’t that serious. The only person Niclas was angry with was the referee. He knows it’s his own fault if he gets into a tackle with Toni,” Kroos said with a laugh.
