The next destination of Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Daichi Kamada was finally confirmed yesterday.
Following the departures of Djibril Sow and Jerome Onguéné, Daichi Kamada was confirmed as the third player out at Eintracht Frankfurt yesterday. The Hessen-based club netted a transfer free of €10 million (rising to €14 million with bonuses) for Sow while Onguéné departed on loan. In the case of Kamada, the Japanese international technically left the SGE on June 30th following the expiration of his contract and had been operating as a free-agent.
Kamada now officially departs German football having scored 40 goals in 178 appearances across all competitions in five seasons spent with his German club. The 27-year-old captured the DFB Pokal with Eintracht in 2018 and helped the club win the 2021/22 Europa League. Initially purchased from J-League side Sagan Tosu for €1.6 million in 2017, Kamada leaves German football valued as a €27-million-player.
