Serie A side Juventus have seen Renato Veiga do well for them in the last few weeks and they are now keen on keeping him at the club further.
Daniele Longo has reported today that Juve have been left encouraged by the Portuguese and even if there is no option to buy Veiga permanently in the summer, they want to attempt to keep him for longer.
Chelsea currently want a fee of €50 million to sell him permanently and that is quite an uphill amount for the Bianconeri, who now want to extend his loan stint. The likelihood is that club sporting director Cristiano Guintoli will present an offer of this type before the end of the season.
The feeling is that the possibility of Chelsea agreeing to a deal like this is low, but Juve still want to try. They have been impressed by Veiga’s leadership and his ability to contribute in build-up.
