Isco Alarcón gave his first interview as a Sevilla player to the club’s media.
The Spaniard completed his move from Real Madrid to Sevilla yesterday and signed a two-year contract with the club.
He believes that signing for Los Nervionenses was the best step to take in order to progress his career:
“It’s a team that competes, that wants to play good football, that plays Champions League football and is a club that is constantly growing. It’s the best place for me to show my football again.”
Isco is looking forward to Sevilla starting their season:
“I’m very happy and excited about this new stage. I know where I’m coming from and hopefully we can do great things this year. I’m really looking forward to start with the team. I really want to show the level I have and that I have never lost. I’m coming to a team where I know the coach and players. They play a style of football I love and hopefully we can win titles and keep all these great fans happy.”
He also mentioned his admiration for coach Julen Lopetegui:
“He’s a coach who has always trusted me. I like his football and I think he’s the most suitable for my style. He has also given me confidence and I have to thank him for that. Now it’s up to me to repay his trust on the pitch and show him that he’s not wrong”.
