Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is prepared to shuffle the back-line ahead of the Nerazzuri’s vital fixture against Juventus as result of central defender Alessandro Bastoni’s recent injury set-back throughout the international window.
The 24-year-old suffered a muscle strain in the right calf in the Azzurri’s training session ahead of their qualification match vs North Macedonia, forcing the former Atalanta defender to withdraw from the national team and return to Milan.
SportMediaset reports, via FcInter1908, that Bastoni is scheduled to undergo medical examinations on Tuesday in order for the club to have a better understanding regarding the severity of the injury.
Whilst it is confirmed that the left-footed defender will not be available against the Bianconeri next Sunday, Inzaghi is prepared to push Francesco Acerbi to the left and introduce Dutchman Stefan De Vrij in the middle of the back-three, alongside Matteo Darmian on the right-hand side.
