Increasingly likely that this could be Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy’s final season at the club due to €50m release clause and interest from Saudi Arabia

Bild reports that it is looking increasingly likely that this could be the final season of Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy at the club. 

Although he has ruled out leaving Dortmund in the winter, the striker is potentially looking at leaving the club in the summer for a new challenge. 

When it comes to the scenarios surrounding the future of Guirassy, there are currently two that could play out.

One is that one of the major clubs that can activate his €50m release clause makes a move. Those clubs are Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. 

While the other is that the 29-year-old gets one final big payday and moves to Saudi Arabia. Guirassy’s brother, who is also his agent, has already begun to offer the striker out to clubs on the Arabian Peninsula. 

Dortmund’s Guirassy successor:

With the future of Guirassy up in the air, Dortmund have already begun to prepare for his potential departure. 

Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani is said to be of interest to die Schwarzgelben. The 23-year-old is looking to leave Sinsheim and has a release clause in his contract valid from next summer.
