‘I’m still here’ – Barcelona transfer target sends message to Blaugrana amid Nico Williams standoff

A member of the summer transfer wishlist at La Liga champions Barcelona has this week touched base with the club once more, through his entourage.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Luis Díaz as the player in question.

Barcelona’s ongoing winger pursuit has of course continued to dominate the headlines across Spain over recent days.

This comes after sudden confirmation was forthcoming that the Blaugrana’s move for chief target Nico Williams has stalled.

According to numerous sources, the 22-year-old has demanded guarantees regarding his La Liga registration which Barca are not willing to provide.

And if the latest word stemming from the media on Wednesday is anything to go by, then news of as much has been met positively by another player hotly tipped for a Camp Nou switch this summer.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Since it became known through MD that the Nico deal has fallen through, messages have been sent to the Spotify Camp Nou offices from Luis Díaz’s entourage that the Colombian is still available.’

It now remains to be seen if such efforts on Díaz’s part culminate in Barcelona pivoting towards the signing of the Liverpool star.
