Andri Gudjohnsen, who netted in the last game between these two teams, will miss France’s visit to Iceland on Monday night.
Gudjohnsen, son of former Chelsea and Bolton Wanderers forward Eidur, is suspended from this encounter. He is the only absentee. However, his brother, Daniel Gudjohnsen, is expected to start for Iceland, in his absence. There will be a familiar name in the starting XI for French fans, with Lille OSC forward Hakon Arnar Haraldsson starting the game. Not only that, he will captain the side this evening.
He and the rest of his teammates will be desperate for points this evening. After three games in their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, they have just three points and sit third in the table, one point behind second-place Ukraine.
