Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has made it clear that he’s not particularly attracted to a move to England, saying he “doesn’t really like the Premier League”.

Over the years, many Bundesliga players have moved to the English Premier League.

For Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface, however, a move to England is not the dream.

Asked if he could see himself playing in the English Premier League, Boniface told SportyTV:

“No. And I’m not just saying this because I’m playing at this level. I’ve been saying this since before I had an international passport and before I dreamed of going to Europe.

“I don’t really like the Premier League. I prefer Spanish and German football.

“I’m not saying that if a good team came for me I wouldn’t go, but if I had to choose two countries I’d really like to live and play in, I’d choose Germany and Spain.”

Boniface joined Leverkusen from Belgian side Union SG in the summer of 2023.

The Nigerian forward has since scored 25 goals in 40 games for Die Werkself.
