Hamburger SV has made a decision regarding a potential contract extension for goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes.
As reported by BILD, the Hanseatic club wants to begin negotiations for a new deal before the end of the year.
Both sides are believed to be open to extending the contract, which is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Doubts hung over his future last summer until he won the competition for the starting position against Bayern Munich loanee Daniel Peretz.
Since then he has attracted attention with multiple strong performances, supposedly earning several offers from other sides.
The 33-year-old has been playing at the Volksparkstadion for seven years since joining from SV Darmstadt 98 for €1.3million in 2019.
